Sheldon van der Linde is a 19 year-old racing driver from South Africa with full-focus on his ambition of breaking into DTM. The talented young racer has made his mark in his formative steps through the junior categories. He is highly commended by peers and experts alike. Sheldon was honoured with numerous SA Motorsportsman of the Year nominations as well as a placement in the Audi Sport Racing Academy Programme in 2016. 

Sheldon started racing at the age of six in karting in which he excelled far above competitors in his category. His karting career was followed by the next step into the South African Polo Cup championship. Sheldon won in his first season of car racing and to date remains the youngest driver to win a national championship in South Africa.

In 2016 he made his mark in European motorsport by progressing into the Audi Sport TT Cup. Sheldon achieved four wins and numerous podiums in his rookie year. Ever since starting his European career Sheldon has been proudly associated with Audi Sport. In 2018 it will be his 3rd consecutive year with the brand. Sheldon is currently partially contracted by Audi Sport as a factory driver in the two 24 hour races at Nurburgring and Spa.
